Despite my country, and our sheep-shagging neighbours opposing whaling, I must admit that I have partaken in whale meat, and don't mind it.
Anyone else with a taste for whale?

Well living in two different countries I have had the opportunity to try a lot of taboo foods. For me eating these foods are not so much for tastes or pleasures more so to have a few laughs. When I go home who else can say; Ummm, dog it taste like a good steak. Whale it taste like the loose meat you put in a loose meat sandwich. Fry silk worms taste like peanuts. Hmmm...I really want to try horse or rabbit next. My sister thinks I am turning into a savage in Asia, I just think it fun to eat sacred cows, horses, whales, and the other fun cute creatures. LOL LOL LOL

Well, you write like a savage save for the droll "LOL LOL LOL" with which you append most messages.

Whale meat has been done to death on this forum. Tokyoites can enjoy a variety of whale dishes at Kujiraya in Shibuya. The deep-fried whale can't possibly be good for you but it's tastey. Whale nabe is filling if pretty bland, while the sashimi is usually slightly frozen because of the unstable supply of these fun & cute creatures. It's also not particularly expensive. Go for the laughs if nothing else...

And since Kujiraya is located next to Building 109, you might be able to score a couple of high-heeled, savagely tanned skanks who could provide the loose meat for your loose meat sandwich.

OK, I've got "loose meat sandwiches" sussed thanks to Google. It's the kind of sandwich that puts the whale blubber on Americans.

I tried horse sashimi and it wasnt that great. They serve it forzen due to the high fat content, or so I hear. Didnt like the frozen part, but the marbilizaiton of the meat is pretty cool looking. Overall just ok. Tried it more just to say I have.

Was going to try some a month or so ago but went with the dolphin sashimi instead. Can't say I'll have that again. Maybe the whale is better

Whale meat always looks so fatty to me. And I'm not a fan of overly fatty meat. I would try it if I was offered it, but I doubt I'd go out of my way to obtain it.

I had a GF that was, well, a little meaty. Nice Rumby Bumpy, though.

Does that count?

(am I gonna get in trubble for that?)

Haven't most people? Well, mine wasn't so much a girlfriend, as a sort of FF. And maybe not quite a whale, so much as a cow.

I should stop talking now.

Don't worry, my 'whale' was American. I haven't been with any Japanese people over 55 kg. Although if Maki adds a couple...

sometimes they have it in the school lunch, I`d give it a firm so so - it would make good cat food though
