You're a rush fan. That's good. :)
I can't help you I'm afraid. I don't socialise with bass players.
You're not looking for a guitar player by any chance, are you?
But I'll gladly play bass for you if you can provide the bass.

I can't buy that! If it was a pressie, you should keep it. And as I don't know what it's worth, I can't make you an offer. I wouldn't want to buy it and find out it's worth more than I paid, or vice-versa.

But I'll look into the value of it if you like? I'll e-mail the pic back to my old co-workers in the UK at the guitar shop, and see what they make of it. Will let you know!

That sounds like a cool plan! :)
I've got loads of music software. PM me your address and I'll send you a CD. All legally paid for, of course :s
Cubase is the best, IMO.

was thinking of emu x proteus but i heard you need their soundcard too.

i think that its something i could seriously get into... my bf mixes some of his own music through the pc but his software is ^%$^%$^%$ kinda difficult to use, plus its in espaniole :D

That would be great! I've got an old Aria Pro 2 somebody gave me. They'd yanked all the frets out, which sounds scary, but it actually sounds pretty damn good.

If you're serious, we meet up on Sunday afternoons, either at my apartment (I've got a small PA and homebuilt DAW) or in an Ikebukuro studio.

Right now we're doing covers, but after we've nailed a really solid setlist of about 70 songs, we'll move into our respective originals. Email me, okay?

I've read many excellent things about the E-Mu card -- but I've got maybe a better solution for you:

I bought an Echo Gina 3G last year that's incompatible with my chipset. Brand new, comes with a full versuion of Traktion -- which was designed specifically to avoid problems like your boyfriend's experiencing. I'd swap it for your bass if you're interested. Lemme know.

eric thanks for the offer...sorry for the spaced out replies... i just had a beer, which is like my whole annual quota :D
i decided to give the bass another try...
the thing plays really sweet and its one of the few i have seen with 4 pickups...
my fingers will probably bleed but... hehe

my bf has no prob with his software.. its me who wants something newbie friendly ...something that i can enjoy from the start without having to feck around with learning.
i have a great soundcard on my pc already... and am not really looking to change my hardware.. i just wanna have some fun.

if you are ever in the kansai... do come on over and jam... our door is always open to music.

I play Guitar, Bass and Keyboards. I have a Fender Jazz Bass.

I'm interested but Ikebukuro is a bit far from where I live (South Kanagawa).

Jay-Jay, we've been talking about practicing in Shinjuku instead. That might be a little easier?

No. It isn't. I know. I was forced to listen to those shreeking freekoids since my teens, and one thing I want to emphasise,
WE NEED TO GIVE THEM THE BUM'S RUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
