Ok, so I wonders for all my fellow Nagoyans...where do you go to get that mullet cropped?
I usually head down to I-Z opposite the Misonoza Theatre in Fushimi. At 1,000 yen for a 15 minute chop you can't be the price or the time it takes. The staff are good and friendly...always a bonus.
So where do you go?

Quite close to you --
I go to Hairs Atelier (or something like that). He speaks fairly good English, but, more importantly, he studied in London (when he was younger!) so he knows how to work with non-JP hair...very important when straightening, coloring, etc. it.
It's not cheap, but then...in this case, I'm willing to pay more. They don't give good massages like the last place I went to (BIG negative), but, on the plus side, they don't expect me to make small talk. I like this. In fact, there are times when I basically say nothing. MUCH different than the last place -- everyone and their mother wanted to talk. Sometimes I'd bring my IPod...just so I wouldn't have to talk :)

Oh, that's good to know. I think I know the place you are talking about. I will check it out because I want to dye my hair again too.

I go to that little barber shop opposite Sexy World. The old lady there does a really good job and gives a nice shave. I often fall asleep in the chair.
She cleaned my ears once.

actually, i don't know if there is a chain in there called mcbarber, here in tokyo that barber charge you 900 yen, when they finished they use a vacuum, to get rid of all the hairs, good idea, and it only takes 10 minutes tops.
so you are beaten.

Then why are you posting here? Can you give it a rest? Must you feel compelled to inflict your grammar challenged eyesores upon us in each and every thread?

I've gone to Hairs Atelier, and he was pretty good. Everything said here is true...no small talk...close to Fushimi station...not cheap, but he is used to non-Japanese heads. I'd go there again!

Good to hear the "no small talk" with you either. I thought perhaps it was he just didn't like me. ;) As I said though, I prefer relaxing to making chit chat when getting my hair done. Difficult to keep up a conversation for that long!!
