I am going to Nagano next thursday with three of my friends. We got a JR package including round trip Shinkansen tickets from Tokyo to Nagano Sta. They will be going to Nagano a day or two early therefor can't use their tickets. Hence I have three tickets from Tokyo to Nagano that are going to be wasted if I can not sell them somehow.
Does anyone know of a way/ place to sell them? They are good only for next Thursay on any train that day. Any good advice will be much appreciated.
Thanks

Can't you can get a refund? With ordinary ticket you can before the end of their validity but maybe not with a package.

Tickets are valid for a certain period, but seat reservation is invalid - you could get them converted to open tickets? Try a local bucket shop, before they expire.

I'm pretty sure you can go to any JR station to get a refund, less 700yen. I've heard of others doing that.

I've refunded unused JR tickets before. I don't remember 700 yen, but there was a minor charge.
Also, not sure about "JR package" tickets. ASK any JR staff and they'll tell you. Most large stations have a refund window, though smaller stations may also fork over.
Some stations even have a refund window inside of the ticket gates, presumably for the times you get off the train early and don't use the rest of the value on the ticket.
