electric's right, j'ese hiphop is that happy, sit-on-the-stoop-and-drink-a-forty-and-feel-good-about-life crap. put your hands in the air and wave 'em like you just don't care. like that. they look like hard ___ thugs in their pictures, but then again so do i. or i can anyways. stick to your fifty cent and your 2pac and your chamillionaire if you want hiphop. j'ese hiphop doesn't flow with me.

You forgot to mention the bit about crying over your homework, and the fact that these bands can`t play a decent guitar solo to save their lives.

With the exception of a few indie crews (mitsu & the jazzy sport massive et al) Japanese music is far too derivative. Plus they don't got no rhythm. Have you seen them dance? LOL

Having just hated on Japanese youth culture (!) I will concede that Japan has made two huge contributions to music:

The Technics SL 210/SL1200/SL1210 turntable
The Akai MPC series of drum machines

..but it took Americans to show us all how to rock 'em!!
