Can anyone help me please...
I have just moved into a new apartment and want to set up SkyPerfect. The apartment came with a new tuner and a shared antenna already installed on the roof.
I recently called Skyperfect to register for their free 2 week trial but there was something wrong with the installation. Aparently there is no signal from my tuner to the antenna. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I asked Skyperfect if they could send someone to fix it, however said they don't send technicians out anymore. Is this correct?
Does anyone know of any companies that can come to install Skyperfect? Or how to get a signal from your tuner to the antenna.
Please help me Japanese TV is driving me crazy!

They should have someone come to see you.

Is the antenna plugged in to the tuner and tuner to the TV?
Do you get anything when tuner is turned on (ie - a blue/grey blank screen with message inficating no reception)?
If so, you may be able to view the free promo channel. I think its channel 200 or 201. If you can view this, then there's nothing wrong with the dish orientation.
But best just ask other tenants if they have skyperfect connected and are able to view it.
Bit tricky

The tuner is plugged into the TV but the antenna isnt plugged into the tuner. I cant even see the antenna when i stick my head out the window.
When I switch on to channel 200, a box with P001 is displayed.
Can anyone help?

Talk to your apartment/ building/ facilities manager - they are the first choice - and responsible for anyone going up on the roof to check connectivity.
Second would be any local electrical shop, they could do line checks for you.

I'm not exactly sure how a shared dish system works, but I think there should be a cable coming into your apartment and this has to plug into your tuner.
It sounds like this might be the problem.
My tuner has the cable coming into the back (right side) of the tuner.
The connection to the TV is via yellow read and white cables.
When I unplug my satellite dish cable I have P001 displayed too, but do you also get a bar at the bottom with some Japanese text? I do
I think you should find the cable to plug into the tuner and plug it in.
Best of luck. Japanese TV drives me crazy too.

First of all: How many apartments are there in the building? This place a part because there has to be a distribution system for the signals to be sent to each apartment. Also as someone pointed out your connection should be inside the apartment. Look in every corner (as this seems to be the logical area where such connections are put in Japan). Once you find the connection you should be able to see the promo channel, if you still can not then more than likely your apartment has not been connected to the distribution system, the apartment maintenance people should be able to connect it as it is a simple connection.
And are you sure the connection is for skyperfect?
By the way are you in Tokyo? or some inaka place?

It's probably not. More than likely it's for BS ( broadcast satellite ) a different system all together.
