Death and Taxes

Hi all,

I am currently negotiating with a company in Tokyo for a staff position. I have lived in Japan before and have a pretty good idea what expenses will be like, with one exception. Taxes.

I am looking at salary anywhere from 5-7.5 mil Yen/yr. What kind of a bite should I be expecting and what kind of monthly take home will I be looking at after taxes and withholdings (assuming most standard benefits are covered)?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

the co. offering the job should be able to tell you exactly what your take home will be % wise. Taxes are pretty low here. I dont get taxes deducted at source. otherwise i could tell you,
