What effect does Chu Hi have on you? I loved nothing more than to grab a can or two of chu hi at 100 yen a pop and enjoy them with a few beers as well.
Chu hi makes me happy, and eventually drunk.
How about you guys? Multiple answers fine.

The BEST canned drink ever invented if you aren't a beer drinker!!
Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit flavours are really nice. Kiwi flavour has arrived and is really good too. Alot of the other flavours are a little sweet for my liking.
They get me feeling relaxed but I never drink enough to get drunk!!
Three cheers for CHU HI!!!!! :D:D:D

OHHHH,how I love that feeling when I am on my electric stallion.
Flying in full control on my electric dream machine, pants down and waving to the citizens of Japan.Harvesing electricity for flight.
Looking at Japan with the summer sunshine in my eyes.We all know here I am on a search for the impossible dream of loating a sex-addicted nymphomaniac.
I have been so wrong here in Japan.
Streaking through the cobwebs of Japan.
Everything I do here in Japan is done with a proffesssional manner.I love every bit of clothing I own.I have a marvellous bra collection.
I admit I love kissing the sun in the nude letting the sun shine on me.I give my body to the sun, over the Gozen mountain chain across Japan.
Yes,it is true my summer dress does not fit as it did last year this is due to Richard's recommendations on Okinawan Chu Hi.
I have bloated out in my girdle,as I fly in the Japanese skies.
Of course, the gals here stil blow kisses to me as I wisk by them with my mascara dripping from my face.
I love all the gals to love me forever.
Some of you here are skepticle as my dresses don't fit right anymore. Its the darn CHU HI.
My electric gizo of course has been tested here where the ocean hits the sand over and over but who am I to believe in flight in Japan.
I have had many failures to launch as Shonia Ben knows and aha yes.I was only having fun in my tight fitting stockings.I can prove, I am sane and not a lunatic.
They left me alone on my scarifices I have dreamed all my life.
I love my electric flying chair!!!.
I am no stranger to flying the skies as I am a inventor with ideas and desires to touch the clouds.
I have had a request to tell of my flying tales across to Nagoya and Osaka but have not had the time.
As you know I love stripping down and invading the rice fileds late at night, fueled by CHU HI.
I do recommend the Okinawan chu hi,it has a zip to it.It is very incredible, especially around 3 A.M.,indeed it has something extra at that hour.
Fly'n the skies is my passion here in Japan, striking fear into the hearts of crows everywhere!.
Some of you may have glimpsed me over the skies already,I have to know if you have.
I have taken my place over the stars also, girls and boys.
Remember, I still love you all.I definitely promise to entice you, next time around your neighborhood.
Banded together from wood and nails and rubbber and plastic my flying vessel.
I am dedicated only to a single object, the conquest of flight in my wooden contraption.
Hyper speed in the sunshine and rain, flying over the streets of Japan.
I love hearing the laughter of children nowadays, I am not a former adult porn star as broadcasted on NHK last year.I am Electric Japan, man!
Look out your office windows, I soar along the building tops with a smile.I admit I will crash land into OKKII69 and end his wicked lifestyle.
Pitted against OKKII69 is something I see forthcoming in Japan.
unwavering stance of having the freedom to fly.
i am toeing the line here as I fly with smiles.
I see you all working all day, I feed my appetite with flight.
I got the whole year to show you all flight in Japan.
Now lets have a chu hi.,I am starving for a chu hi.
Anybody have any money?
Promise me not to taint it.
CHU Hi is all my body needs.
Never throw a chu hi away,.one of the truest pleasures our life has to offer in Japan.
Dream a dream and fill your glass now.

I just KNEW that E.J. would come on here and reply!!! The "Okinawa chu-hi" that he refers too is awamori...not much more to be said 'bout that.
Chu-Hi is good but the Kirin stuff, I am convinced, is made from a cheaper brand of sho-chu as it is mass-made. If you drink good sho-chu - and there are many, many different brands from Kyushu - the Kirin stuff will pale. HOWEVER in a pinch and if the vending machine is not so far away, it does call to you.........just one sip.....so I guess it's OK in that department. Just don't mix it with beer - headache the next morning or a real fuzzy, wuzzy feeling!!!!! Enjoy.

Ok, I just tried chu-hi for the first time and I can't see what you people see in that syropy sweet stuff. Yes it's a cheap buzz, but I'm not sure if it's the alcohol or the sugar that's getting me high. Yuck, I'll stick to beer thank you.

As I walk in the garden of dreams,I gaze into the deep emtiness of my dry as bone chu hi can.
Perhaps I am going through a silly phase,I know it is not right for me not to drink litres of chu-hi each morning.

I am fueled by www.honshibori.com (http://www.honshibori.com)
It is one of my favorites this summer. No sugar but 50% fruit juice, after my 56th can I am flying to the moon.
I have often spoken about the attraction to Richard here and his outspoken views of chu-hi.
I am contemplating to tell you all of you his mastery of knowledge towards chu-hi.
I have learnt so much from the master.

Relic-san,
During the midnight hour, you can feel the soothing feeling in this hot humidity, every move you make here is hot and bothered.But,chu-hi makes it all okay.
http://i.yimg.jp/i/mesg/tsmileys2/25.gif-Star and more stars!
Richard-san, the man of knowledge has warned me to take it easy on the Awamori brand as it is 40% potent.
I love climbing onto my roof and drinking a plastic bag ful of cans, looking up towards the cosmos, covering the Gozen mountain chain.
I have often longed for the embrace of a cool chu-hi can, after running as quick as the wind, from the koban officers.
CHU-HI is not fake but a quick refreshing feeling, after a toothpaste bj.

Oh Relic,relax man.
What you'll experiqance is something that Pink Floyd experianced in the 70's.
I love their lovely melodies that touch my deeply planted heart.
I am known in the mountains as being a trustworthy gaijin and a trustworthy GaijinPot member.
We are all associates who come here and speak about teaching and chu-hi and toothpaste bj's.
Feel the adrenaline surge after chugging down a bottle of that higly recommeded chu-hi.
You'll be spitting fire for hours.
The good times will always be memories.
Chu-Hi is going to make you silly.:p
Relic you are to smart to know that Chu-Hi is a summer refresher on ice.

Richard and I know a thing or two about chu hi
Recently I tried to grab the attention of Shonia Ben to chu hi,unfortunatly he is addicted to Kirin beer.
Chu-hi is a real beautiful thing in Japanland,I can be found guzzling icicle cold chu hi cans weekly.
I am the goddess of chu hi,relic.
I wil continue hyping up the refreshing taste of chu hi forever more.

Gotta' agree with you there Relic about the Kirin. IF I drink it, I drink only the lemon. The other flavors are not all that good. "Yuzu" is also tasty if you can find it. BUT the thing about Kirin is, as said above, I think they use a lower grade of shochu and it, well, affects me the next morning. I have drunk lots of good shochu made in Kagoshima or southern Kyushu and some of it was quite "heavenly" to say the least and never had a hangover the next day, a sure sign of the purity of it.
Anyway enjoy - it's hot out!!! R.

I feel so well today,Shonai Ben and Richard, as I sit hear anticipating something special on the air,California live.
Anyways, the uniqueness of shochu inside my bowels makes me so jumpy and makes me feel like daydreaming, all day long.
There is always a good time to be found slurping and drooling on a shochu buzz.
I did mention the Japanese fuzz and how they hate to see gaijin drinking chu hi on the streets.
But you know when you want to get something to bring up up to the atmosphere, count on chu hi.
I want to be synchronized with crow wings after drinking 47 cans.
so this honshibori is gonna give you a buzz AND your daily dose of vit C.
dang... thing is, doesnt take me much to buzz and away. one can does me fine. but i also like a minimini can of beer after a bath.
mind you, they say practice makes perfect so if i fly the elctric sky every night, one can will soon turn to 2, then three and before you know it i will be a sixpack ______.
woohoo.... at least i wont get scurvy :D

Saw a tv news program yesterday on the oldest living Baachan in Japan, 103. She lives in southern Kyushu. Well one of her daily routines is a glass of shochu, mix in a spoonful of SALT (yes, salt) and then hot water. She says it cleans the body of toxins. Very interesting.
To Relic:
Just like yourself, basically I am a beer lover - nothing like a super cold one on a very hot day....like today in fact. If I do drink shochu on a summer day, I get way overheated and I think my liver gets a little stressed out processing all that alcohol and the heat of the summer doesn't help either. So it is beer tonight for sure!!!
Now I think we should have MORE threads like this on GP instead of the "p" word and the "p" topics and the slagging that is going on in the other forums. I thought McAlpine's was interesting - his "breakfast" of Nihonshu and choco cake. To each his own, huh!!!
Again....Enjoy.

gotta love chu-hi. The calori ones are really nice. I think they are a bit watery and less sweet than the others, so you can know them back nicely!!
Recently I've been getting into the cassis orange cocktail partner too. They are great - highly recommended!!!
