Having just watched the show "The Practice" I have a question for all. Do you think it is right to withhold information regarding a person's life or death during a trial?
For those that didn't see the show. It is about Jimmy disregarding a direct instruction from their client not to disclose the information that a child had a condition that required immediate treatment or he could die. Jimmy told the family and the child was saved. The Practice was fired and then a coworker reported Jimmy to the bar.
Personally I would think that a life and death situation should override client priviledge.
What do you think? What would you do if you were the lawyer?
