A tea thread?

Good Idea.

Big tea drinker here. I tend to like kocha (red-tea, or "black tea" in English), on the strong (as tar) side with a dash of milk.

That said, I'll drink just about anything if it has had a few tea leaves waved at it. Sometimes even herbal infusions.

Green tea is very common in Japan. But, so too, is oolong tea, it is very popular. Many people enjoy it chilled.

Well now tea- a great subject in my estimation. As far as the health benefits are concerned, research has shown that tea is very beneficial to the human body in that it contains many anti-oxidants. Green tea, having a high concentration of vitamin-C, has been shown to be beneficial in many ways. A survey was done a few years ago of the folks in Shizuoka Prefecture and the research showed that those folks in Shizuoka had fewer cavities than other Japanese from other areas. This is just one example. And other kinds of tea, oolong, jasmine, barly, and the various mixes that one can find in any store - there are really all kinds of mixes that will satisfy your palate. Black tea (kocha) too has been found to be beneficial to one's health and drinking it in quantities helps to enhance the functions of all the internal organs.

So to anser the OP's question, I drink all kinds actually, green tea, jasmine tea and oolong and the many and varied mixes and blends....all good in my book.
