I'm going to be having some people over for Christmas lunch this year and really want to get some turkey in. I can find the turkey easy enough on the Foreign Buyers site but like most people I know I only have a tiny stove/oven.
Any ideas people?

thanks in advance.

You say you have a small oven? Why not buy two small turkeys. Failing that, invite someone who has a large oven and get them to cook the turkey and bring it :)

themeatguy.jp sells frozen smoked turkeys, just defrost, reheat and serve. Haven't tried them myself but I regulary buy meat from there (cash on delivery).

Didn't FBC sell Turkey Ovens last year?

I saw a Brazilian store selling roasted turkeys (possibly chickens as was from a distance) out the front of their business last crimbo. There was a real long queue as well for them.

Another idea would to be to build a ruddy great spit in the yard and roast the thing over an open flame.

I found the meat really greasy from here but I haven't tried the turkey. Maybe it's better?

The sausages I ordered were really not so nice. I was definitely put back onto buying fresh after trying frozen.

Yea, that sounds like a snap.

Surely any problems with these ovens would be covered by warranty, no?

I didn't buy one, but I thought at the time...what a great idea. Just as good as the raclette (fondue) hot plate they were/are selling.

I'd buy one but raclette is so damn expensive over here.

Recipe for fondue:

buy good looking food; cut up same; dunk in boiling oil until fried; eat same.

Only a bunch of Calvinists could ever have passed that off as cuisine.

Good fun with friends, though.
