don't know about osaka, but there's a pretty good one in kobe:
Wantage Books is near Shin Kobe JR and subway stations, is very cheap, and has a large collection of used fiction and non-fiction. From the South exit of Shin Kobe subway station, look for a large building called OPA. Wantage is one block east and one block south, near a fast food restaurant called Yoshinoya, a Fuji film shop, and a bunch of love hotels. The address is 1-13 Ikuta-cho 1 chome, Chuo-ku, Kobe. The Phone number is 232-4517. It is open Monday to Friday 10-5:30.
