Just get on the Yamanote line and get off at Akihabara--take your pick.

Go to Akihabara only if you know EXACTLY what you're doing and know EXACTLY where to go. Otherwise, go to one of the large stores like Ishimaru, Yodobashi Camera, Big Camera, Sakuraya, etc. They're around most of the major stations like Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Ikebukuro.
Just a warning, a lot of Japanese products have issues working in other countries (no bilingual, power issues, etc)

Yes I will be new in town as visiting Tokyo in August 2 weeks holiday and also looking for a general job if anyone knows where I can get one.
