anyone know some brewery tours in kansai? I couldnt find any info on it. Also, the nintendo factory in Kyoto, do they have tours? Im not really interested in nintendo so much, but i have some friends visiting who might like it. thanks
Unless things have changed recently I'm pretty sure that Nintendo will not let anybody in the building.
But I might be confusing 'factory' with their 'head office'

What brew do you seek?
Sake or beer?
Plenty of sake tours available at smaller places.
You're not related to daves are you?

The Kirin Brewery in Nagoya does an excellent free tour, showing all sorts about the history. They even teach you how to pour the perfect beer (and you get two free PLUS the one you poured). My ex-wife and I used to go there every weekend until they started recognizing us, so we started bringing friends as well, based on the idea that they hadn't been there before, but they started going by themselves, too, so it's pretty hard to get in now without wearing sunglasses and giving a false address.

The Asahi brewery in Osaka has a tour. You need to book ahead. It's in Japanese, but there is a product tasting room at the end :)

I know it`s not Osaka but Sapparo does a great free tour at it`s brewery in Hita, Oita. Great area as well.
