Hi. So if one want to meet someone ,except for meeting up at your club,there are only chances to try to go through the awkward moment to speak to those girls in a bar or just on the street? It seems really small. (Plus the first words to speak to is so difficult,,,,it naturally comes down to the banal and uninteresting 'where are you from?' stuff, suggested to be be avoided above, I am afraid.

Don't you ever think of using internet or periodic magazine classifieds or anything like that?

I see nothing wrong with a guy approaching a girl on the street or in a bar, if he does it politely. Where are you from? Is a kind of stupid question... but just hi how are you, do you like this music, what are you drinking, etc. would be just fine. I have been approached many times in bars or clubs, and have had some great conversations that way. I even met my ex-boyfriend at a bar. I thought it was totally cool of him to have the guts to just go for it!

Using the internet or classifieds doesn't work that well-

First, you get nervous wondering if the guy is going to be who he says he is. Once I ended up meeting a guy who said he was my age, and it turned out he was 50!! Another time I met a guy who said he was 23... he was 17! Not to mention all the guys I've met who were, very simply, unattractive. Call me picky, but I just can't be interested in a guy that I am not sexually attracted to.

Second, you don't know by just writing email if you will get along with that person when you meet face to face. I've wasted several evenings meeting guys that seemed interesting by email, but were totally boring in person.

I much prefer meeting face to face, you can immediately know if you are interested in them or not, without wasting time....so guys, don't be so shy! Even if you don't succeed with one girl, you might with the next! Gambatte!
