Ideas for getting a conversation started

In any relationship, what do you really know about the other person? You want to know more than, “how was your day” or, “ what do you think of the weather”. You want to chew on some fat. Simply, you need to ask questions and talk about everything. Usually when you ask other people questions there is some pressure on you, as well as embarrassment for actually asking certain questions. A conversational book, like

“Questions to Muse You” by Dean Derkson,

shifts the blame for the question onto the author of the book and leaves you free to simply ponder the answers.

What food best describes your spouse?
How much emotional baggage did your parents give you?
What part of your best friends character would you like to change?
Where would you take a gorilla on a date?
Who would you like to be stuck in an elevator with for three hours?
If cannibals caught you, how would you like to be cooked?

The book is stuffed with 1004 questions divided into six sections that await your answers.

Choice: From whose lips would you like to drink your fill of wine?
Past: Have you broken any bones (not necessarily your own)?
Present: What sin are you most familiar with?
Possible: If they were coming for you, where would you hide?
Spouse: What food best describes your spouse?
Opinion: Beside what entry in the dictionary would you find your picture?

Any fu_cker could pull a book like this out of their ar_se at half a moments notice. But if you wrote a Book of Answers with Jeopardy-style options for applicable questions at the end of each chapter... well, that would be sexy. That kuro mame guy could write that sh_it. I've taught preschool so I have thick skin.

Thanks for your advice. I am working on a book of Jeapordy style questions for English class.

Yes it is quite possible as I've seen people do that with soda cans.

The Marketing though seems to be the hard part.

I too have been painfully privy to the preschoolers kancho greeting as I loitered around a previous hosts "raisin de entrance" (thats French. As in "Paris, France", French)

I do have my title already. I spent about six months shopping the book around to all the publishers I could find and all I got back was "That doesn't fit our profile", or "We thought about it, NO" And those were from the publishers that took the time to reply.

I decided to self publish through a POD (Print On demand) all they do is publish the book and put it on the internet so I can see it at Amazon.
(Which is kinda cool.) So now I'm left shooting the learning curve in doing the marketing.

Sure anybody could put a book out about this at a moments notice:
