Ok .Here is the situation .Last week it happened that I needed to go to the dentist ,so I found one
close to my apartment .I felt bad due to the fact that the dentist did a lousy job .He just drilled a hole where it was the caries and closed it leaving on the side a part of my tooth
that was broken without closing it,I didn't complain because he told my wife who is Japanese that he was not finished ,no to mention that He did not removed all the caries and it is pretty visible ,so the next time he worked on a diferent tooth and did not touch the caries he left before not to mention that I am afraid He put the feeling on top of the caries,
but again I was patient because I though He will finish it later. So today I went for the last time by myself and was shocked He worked on another tooth and drilled a Hole and left
and put the nurse to finish the job ,now correct me if I am wrong he suppose to work and not the nurse ,then when it was done I told Him and showed a caries that was left and He
said ______u and told me He was finished .Now What the Hell is wrong with the Japanese
people towards foreigners .I feel very much discriminated I am from Brasil and I lived 8 years in America and never seen anything like this before .What is it that makes them have
so much discrimination .Now I would like to sue the Doctor if I can ,really I am not used to
put up with things like these. Now I need help with some ideas and also need to know if
I have a chance to win in court.
Advise will be greatly apreciated

No idea about your chances of winning but it will be a very long process to sue here and even if you did win you probably wouldn't get much money. Damage awards are usually much lower here than in the west.

Even if they found that the Dentist was negligent they would ask what actually damages you had incurred, not potential damages. Don't think you would get much money. And could you afford a lawyer?, especially with the possibility of losing?

I understand wanting to fight for the principal sometimes it is better just to forget about it.

A few other options -

-go back with your wife and ask for an explanation of why he hasn't done the complete job as you think should be done. There can be language problems.

- go to another dentist and explain the situation and ask for their opinion. Then use this to go and ask for a refund from the original Dentist.

Not sure of how to contact a consumers rights group here but why don't you ask your wife to look into it and make a complaint through them?

You could contact FRAC (Foreign Residents Advisory Centre). I don't know the #, but if you call Tokyo English Life Line (03-5774-0992) they could give it to you. There is also a Spanish-language life line (in Yokohama, I think), but I don't know the number.
