Does anyone know of a good onsen ryokan in the Upper Kanto/Southern Tohoku regions. I have searched the guide books & brochures but just got confused. Any advice accepted. Only one criteria, it must have an outside bath.

Sakunami-onsen - Sakunami - between Sendai and Yamagata on Senzan line.
2-3 Rotenburo - not mixed. Many other onsen ryokan/ hotels in the area. Was good in winter - snow on the edge of the bath, hot water inside, and a little hot sake bar around the corner
Kaminoyama - between Yamagata and Yonezawa/ Fukushima has similar, a few with mixed bathing
