I think I've been in Japan too long. I really want to see the movie "Phone Booth." Has it already come to Japan and I've missed it, or is it yet to come? Does anybody know? Thanks a lot!

Originally I wanted to see this but now, every time I watch cable tv, I have to see the ad for this film every hour or more. They've been showing the ad, the making of, and other crap. It's been driving me nuts. I've seen so much of the film now I don't wnat to see it.
It would have to be so good to merit this much airtime on tv, but then again Pearl Harbour got a lot of coverage. Jerry Phuckbreimer's finest piece of schlock. Hmmm...
Anyway, next time the ad comes on, I'll try to figure out exactly what it's promoting.. Probably the DVD release. I saw the US dvd out on a web site, so the Japanese release is probably not that far away.
It has not come to Japan yet. It starts November 22.
Bluedog, you must be watching FOX Japan (like me) That ad drives me up the wall..

Thanks for the info guys. I'm guessing neither of you are Colin Farrell fans! Oh well! (^o^) Anything decent in the theaters right now?

Actually I like some of his stuff. And I'm sure the movie's actually ok, but I doubt it'll stand up to the build up that they've given it on the cable networks.
This is one big difference in Japan, the average tolerance of the consumer to over-exposure is much higher than in my own country.
As for anything good in the cinemas, I don't know. I've tried a few times lately and couldn't even get a ticket to a big film like T3. In Kansai the movie theatres sell out early, and the last film's often at 7:30pm so I hardly ever get to go.
One nice thing though, you gotta love the fact that you can buy a big plastic cup of beer in the japanese cinemas. Beer and popcorn and a movie. Mmmmm.
