This add is in the latest Metropolis mag:

Weathernews Inc., WORLD'S LARGEST COMMERCIALLY-TRADED FULL-SERVICE WEATHER COMPANY urgently seeking enthusiastic, team-oriented, native English speakers for "Aviation Risk Communicator" position in Chiba. Ideal candidate has experience in aviation operations, flight dispatch, or related areas of the aviation industry relevant to American market. University graduate w/BA or Master's degree required. Japanese language skills preferred, but not required. Send CV & photo to: Mr.Inoue jp_recruit@wni.com

I was wondering is there anybody that has dealt with them, how are they paying, what are the conditions? I used to be a dispatcher, so I'll give it a try anyhow, but if anyone can give me any advice on Weathernews, it would be appreciated.

Thanks....

Moron, ChiBa is the prefecture next to Tokyo, you id..t, not China. The company is Japanese, they have hq across the station from Makuhari Messe in CHIBA (not China). So please, if anyone knows anything about them, please help. I already applied, have my interview on next Friday so I want to get prepared. TM if you have something to say, wait until it blows away.

Looks like they, or their site, started in 2004 approx., and the company (originally) supplied weather info for the mobile services sector according to historic data they supplied. Looks kind of like a legit business targeting businesses who are affected by the weather, but their recent company info section is broken.

You can also try searching perhaps navi to see pointers on paycheck- they may have registered there, or other Japanese sites. You can try 2ch for more info or do your own internet search for more info.

That's gonna keep me entertained all month- cheers! Good luck with your interview. I would imagine with your experience and not so much competition from people with that kind of experience, you should have a good shot.
