Anyone know if there are jobs that require a native english speaker and how to teach basic usage of computers (windows/mac/linux)? I have been doing it with family, friends, and even as teacher assistants and lab assistants at high school and college for a long time now. I am currently a college student in the US, but would like to work in japan if possible. I have been into japanese culture for a long time and know a little japanese if that helps at all.

Thanks ^.^

I'll give you 10 bucks an hour to type out my rubbish as I dictate it to you.

Take it or leave it mate.

Come on, that was 2001, you must be about 33 by now, economic collapse, on the bones of yer arse.

PM me.

Well, erm, no not really.

What can you bring to the job that a Japanese (instructor) can't? This is the question that you have to ask yourself for every job outside of English teaching in this country.

Though, perhaps ECC has teaching English slash computer classes? I am not sure if native speakers can jump on that band wagon though. It might just be for Japanese instructors. But with basic Japanese skills it is ALT or Eikaiwa I am afraid.

I enjoy being an ALT at the moment though. So why not give it a try?

Hee hee.

If you know anything about macs, jinseinosensei needs a lot of help, but don't think he can pay you much...

I appreciate the plug, but I think you may have missed the part about the OP being dated 2001. And just for everyone's information... An individual like the OP would do well for himself to visit my place first, THEN decide where to work and live here in Japan. Room and board, help with job search, language training, etc..., in exchange for help with computer training and household chores. Who could ask for more...?

Oh, is there an expiration date on threads now?

They aren't really dead, you know. They are just sleeping.

Maybe so, but how likely is it that the OP is still in the same situation as he was in April of 2001...? Your desperation is showing, AGAIN. How badly you must NEED to raise yourself above what you perceive to be my level. Amazingly pathetic.
