Ok, Since no one was stepping up to offer their collection, I will be the first to offer mine. I've created a torrent on Demonoid:

I seeded this thing from the day I posted it until July 15th... Every SINGLE one of the folks that completed hit and run - therefore I let it die.. at the end, I transferred upstream over 4TB, and was afraid my ISP would drop me. Havent heard from them, so I guess Im in the clear. Maybe I'll start a new torrent tonight - as I said I still have a lot of movies/TV series to share.

Just get any modern torrent client like μTorrent or Azereus and you can select which of the files in the .torrent you want to download and skip the rest.

also...I know that you can select individual files from a torrent but if all the seeders have different portions of the torrent then you always risk selecting a part of the torrent that no body is seeding...better to upload each file separately i would say..

why not just start a "gaijin movie of the week" I can spread the word to at least 4 or 5 people that will probably download and seed regularly...

i could rip some next time i rent one if you can send me a tutorial...I know how to rip a movie but not how to hardcode the subs...

the other tghing that you could do is just rip only the subs for movies that you rent...i have been able to add subs to movies that i have downloaded before. Although I think japanese fonts create some encoding issues that i couldnt figure out when i tried it before...

that would take entirely too much time on my part to create an individual torrent for each movie... I have 100s, and plan to torrent the majority of them.. I hope some of you will do the same.

My original thought was to do 10 at a time! However, I think I'll stick with 5 now.. Its so much easier, and you can choose if theres an individual movie you want.

5gb really isnt that much when Im currently uploading at 300k. that works out to a little over 1gb uploaded every hour.

Im using OSX as well.. Transmission is working great for me. Very easy, and doesn't demand alot of system resources. Im not familiar with Tomato though..

Edit: I am dl-ing them now and my speed is about 40kb/sec. At this rate I'll be able to watch them long after the main actors have passed on and a new media format is invented, tested, implemented and accepted. I can hardly wait.

I am doing it at once, using DivX Converter, part of the DivX bundle (http://www.divx.com/).
It allows to choose which audio channel and subs to include, file plays on PC and DivX certified devices with best video/audio quality, in 16/9 format if selected in the encoding options.

A DVD is transformed into a 800Mb-1Gb file for about 90min as a background task on a PC with a 2.4Ghz PentiumIV and 1Gb RAM.

I occasionally share my files on limewire too. Just make sure that the files you want to share are in your "shared" folder, or in a shared directory. Im using Mac limewire, and its under Limerire -> Preferences -> Sharing. May be different if youre using windows.

It should change to "whats new" then finally "direct connect". PM me the string of 5 numbers, and we can directly share our collections. I have over 300 movies/TV shows you can grab.

Thanks rancor. Last night after posting my message that you responded to I searched around on limewire to find out which files I am sharing and found them to be the only ones I wanted to share.

I don't turn on limewire so often, but if anyone wants the files, leave a note on this thread or pm me and I'll turn on limewire if our timing is right so you can grab them. Last night, I was dloading at well over 900kbs for a while... woo hoo :D so it only took about about 2 hours to get all the movies in the last bunch. :)

The rest of us should just click on the links, and input the 5 digit codes..

That's the limitation...only Premium account can download files over 1GB :(

So far so good...was able to download most of the files without a hitch. :)

The previous snag was due to the "password" which needs to be key-in manually but the Mega Manager does not send out a prompt when it was on auto-downloading.


BTW, it seems that "The Notebook" runs short ending at 1:51:59?? Movie actual time is 123mins.

Have not been using TPB for a long while, and did not download from pack#1, pack#4 and pack#5.

I tried uploadjockey as well as rapidshare, but the only problem is that their maximum filesize is 100mb. Megaupload had their limit set at 900mb I think it was.. I dont really feel like taking the time to split these up into 100mb chunks.. I waste enough time on this as it...
