I have lived in Japan before (as a techer, of course), and have returned to the states to play a little in the dot-com game. After being here a while, I have completely lost my Jpanese speaking ability. From what I can see on the various jabanese-job boards (those that I have seen), it looks like a very difficult proposition for even a highly skilled Programmer/Software Engineer to fins a non-teaching job in Japan without being able to speak Japanese.
Can any of you give me any advice as to where I should look for such a job? I am sure that once I am back in Japan for a few months, I'll be able to speak again, but just studying here until am proficiant again isn't really an option. Is is possible to find IT/Compuing jobs in jaba, from abroad, without being able to speak Nihongo?
