I lived in Japan for 5 years, worked in the IT field for a Japanese company. Even without a degree my experience got me a working visa.
I'm now planning on returning long term. The job market seems totally screwed and I can not be a teacher cuz no degree. Still I am returning.
When I lived there before I did alright at Pachinko. Almost always left with more then I came in with. I have heard that some local Japanese do this as a full time job, they are the Pachinko_pros. I don't see any reason that I could not join their ranks.. If I can average a daily winning of Y10,000 it should be enough. More than a teacher. And all tax free.
Don't think it's impossible, more than once I've gone in and spent 5 or 6000 and left several hours later with 80,000 to 100,000.
I'm sure that I'm not ging to get a VISA for playing pachinko but I can be a "long term tourist".
