Probably walking a fine line here, but am seriously interested in "acting" in etchi eiga for a few months while in Japan. Can ANYone give me any ideas on how to go about realizing one of my smaller dreams (yes, I do have larger aspirations)....
Thank you,

Quite easy for foreign girls to do, just hang around Ikebukuro, Shinjuku or other neighbourhoods, but only know of two foreign guys to do it in Japan, and one came in via US partner distribution agency - long, long time ago.
3 fears as always - too big (like a baby's head - oh yeah!), AIDS, and foreigners don't understand what to do! As much of Japanese porn industry is condomless sex based on rape or facial splattering, and STD/ AIDS testing is rare, you may end up with more than you bargain for. This is a very sensitive issue here.
Unless you can read/ write in Japanese, writing to the production houses is probably a waste of time, and jobs are never advertised in the English language media. Best bet is to hang around some of the gaijin houses in those areas, and hope to pick up some leads, or blow serious money at some of the SM show clubs, and hope someone notices you. But opportunities are very rare.
A number of articles in the press have highlighted the fraud, cheating, poor working conditions, rape and abuse that "actresses" go through in their usually short careers. Do you really want to be part of that? Why not just satisfy your dreams back home, wherever that is, rather than inflict yourself on someone over here, and maybe pickup a terminal illness?
