Hello everyone, I was reading some threads asking about english speaking dentists, well I can suggest you all to come to Osaka University Dental Hospital, we are 3 foreign dentists doing our residencies. Carmen from Panama in Orthodontics, Viviana from Argentina in Preventive Dentistry and Juan from Mexico in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery......so if you have an infected wisdom tooth, need to clean your teeth or need braces send us an email .....we know is difficult to get treated by dentists that speak little or no english.....

you are probably working with a surgeon who treated me years ago. I had to have Maxillofacial surgery and he was brilliant. No scars at all. Can't think of his name but he had trained in Germany. He actually designed the hinged metal plate I had inserted.

Hello there, well maybe is Dr Iida? or Mori? The thing is that most of the surgeons here go to Germany. but as a resident I can tell you is a very nice place to have this type of operations....come anytime...heheheh....just kidding...

I think it might have been Doctor Mori.. but will have to check in my records when I get home. It really was excellent treatment!

A question - if you don't have national health insurance and are paying cash, is it very expensive there? Are appointments available? Are there only certain days you can go?

Hello Again,
There are 2 departments of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, so please check which surgeon took care of you. But there are always open appointments for walk in patients so no problem you can come anytime from 9 am to 3 pm. About the national health insurance, i think is better to have it because treatments here are not so expensive if you use it. But if you want to pay on your own is better to talk before to the surgeon so he can look for the real treatment cost. I hope this answers your question .
