I am a Canadian male. While working in Japan I payed aprox. 17,000 yen a month to the national pension. I was told I could get this all back when I left the country. How do I go about doing this? Thank-you for your help.

Did you pay pension thru your ward office or was it deduced from your salary? They are different and have different amounts you can reclaim. You must also have left Japan withing the last 2 years. Check out http://www.najapan.com/taxservice.html
