I miss my 1200s. Gathering dust back in the UK, along with a nice Vestax mixer...

You may want to have a look at Yahoo auctions. I haven't bought Technics kit from there before, but everything else I have bought has been fine.

akahebi - no probs, got a little excited. buying new is not really an option for me, so i'm looking around for some used decks.

Basil Brush - I've had a look at the Yahoo auction site and there seems to be some really good value stuff - mk2's and mk3's going for under ichiman. But I can't read Kanji. Or speak much Japanese. I'm thinking I might ask someone to help me out.

If you don't find any shops then go the Yahoo route. It will help if you have an account with positive feedback, but if you are a buyer that isn't so important.

Out of interest, how do you intend using them? I would love to ship mine over, but the noise just wouldn't go well with the rest of the tenants in my mansion, and playing at really low volume just isn't the same. Better than nothing though..

I would have been using them in a house. We live in an apartment now, but we are about to move to a house. We had to give 5 months deposit, so there go the turntables.

Oh well. I'll still keep my eye out for some.
