I am looking for some christmas gifts to send home, and thought it would be cool to send something that reflects tokyo. like a calendar with pictures of the famous places around tokyo, or something like that. does anyone know if there is a store like that. in oregon, where I'm from, we have a "made in oregon" store, where they sell things like that. There is probably one here, considering its such a big city and has lots of neat stuff, but i dont know where to look. thanks!

There's old-fashioned gift-stuff in Asakusa in the shopping arcade in front of the Kannon temple. You know, like those old fashioned umbrellas, dolls, toys, and other random stuff you'd never really use but makes good gifts for some reason anyway.
There isn't really a Tokyo "crafts" store... the city is far too big to get any quaint "local" knick-knack. Maybe you can go to a Japanese temple/shrine and buy one of those good luck charms? It usually has the name of the temple/shrine on it (in Japanese).
