50's/older furniture wanted

I need some things, and as quickly as possible. A couch or 2, chairs, a kitchens table and chairs... curtains, area carpets, etc...

Where should I look? I've looked around Meguro, and the prices are out of line. Any other ideas?

If you really want stuff from the 50's, it is quite expensive here - especially American stuff. It's considered "antique" in Tokyo, and as in north america, is quite trendy. I've seen it in "antique stores" around gaienmae/harajuku areas.

Check the freebie papers for Sayanara sales...you should get lucky, but as Dipchick says if you wanted vintage gear it comes at a premium...especially at those couple of places in Meguro I've spotted too...an absolute joke with their prices, which is why their stock seldom changes, methinks.
