Hi

I'll be entering Japan soon on a working holiday visa. I understand that you need to show proof of a certain amount of funds. The problem is that i've been travelling around S.EAsia for the past 5 months. I do have enough money, and have bank statements to prove it , but they're at home in Australia. If i get them scanned and print out a copy, does anyone know if that will suffice? Or does anyone have any other suggestions. I've heard they're fairly harsh at immigration, and don't know how strict they will be.

Thanks for any info.

As far as I know you have to go to your local embassy in person. That means you have to go to Australia and apply for the WHV there. You can't apply for the WHV from another country than your home country.

Hi

Thanks for the reply.
I do actually already have my WHV which i got before leaving Australia. Sorry if i wasn't clear enough- i was referring to showing evidence of funds to Immigration at the airport when i arrive in Japan. ie. Will they mind if i can only come up with printouts that have been scanned from home in Australia.

I think printouts are okay too ^_^
