View Full Version : how do I stop pages loading weirdly

Every time I click on a new thread, the page jumps to seemingly random posts as it loads. I suspect that it's trying to focus on the first post of the day, but it's extremely annoying when I want to read the original post and the site is jumping around everywhere. Does anyone else get this? is there any way to stop it?

The links from the front page are set to jump to the most recent post. Since this is at the bottom, and the page is still loading, the browser keeps trying to move down until it reaches the linked post.

I recommend that you switch to browser software that properly surrenders control when the user manually scrolls the page. Since your software is assuming that it knows what you want better than you do, I guess you're using Internet Explorer.

Switching your thread view so that most recent posts come first should help alleviate the jumping issue.

I'm actually using Firefox, but I'll try the recent post thing. Cheers!
