moving to okinawa

i might be moving to Okinawa here in a few months and was wondering if anyone had any estimates on cost of living or new of any books that dealt with the subject. i have found plenty on Japan, but very little on the island of Okinawa.

What are the chances of landing a job with the big 3 schools?

What are my chances having a spouse visa and being resident in Japan of finding work without an institutionalise piece of paper called (a degree) at Aeon, Nova or ECC? I ‘m a Native-English speaker from North London (up the gunners) with a positive attitude. I have teaching experience with junior and high school students (within a youth club) and have very thick skin. I detect (from reading some of the posts) you will need to have lots of patience with the adults and the kids.

I will be taking a Tefl or Celta course in the summer, however I would like to know which one has more respect in Japan?

Any constructive advice on this subject would be appreciated.
