  • Silver shops in Tokyo?

Does anyone know of any area in Tokyo, or shops specifically, which are specialised in silver jewellery? (cufflinks, etc.)

    Cheers.

There's a big silver shop just at the beginning of Centaa gai in Shibuya. If you wander over to Meiji Dori, and follow Cat Street down to where it connects to Omotesando, you'll pass a few silver galleries and a store front that sells student-jeweller's work.

To get to Cat Street from Shibuya Station, walk through the big intersection past Seibu, the Hagen Daaz place and at the corner, where Tower records is, make a right. You'll go under the Yamanote tracks, cross Meiji Dori on the pedestrian overpass and you'll find yourself at a little side street. The first silver shop is right across Meiji Dori on the right side of the street. Keep walking up a ways and you'll see, on the right, the jewellry school's store front and further on, a silver shop. And it's an interesting stretch to cruise slowly...
