  • Tony Brown not coming to Japan to get laid.

Tony Brown, 29, announced on Friday he had signed a two-year deal with Japanese club Sanyo. The Otago Highlanders were "pretty f__kin' gutted, just quietly mate" by the loss of Brown. He will be based about an hour out of Tokyo and will leave for Japan in June following the Super 12 season.

Auckland's Carlos Spencer pronounced himself "pretty f__kin' rapt, just quietly mate" to have Brown out of the All Blacks picture. Andrew Mehrtens was unavailable for comment as he was busy gorging himself on pies outside Caltex.

Brown is not much of a loss compared to Kehelleher.

    As for the Allblacks

What about Andy Millar (Kobe)? He's on his way back home.... Spencers out for a month. Holwell (hurricanes) is kicking well. Only other prospect is new highlanders utility Evans who played 10 last week and was a star, but he is prone to serious f### ups.

Id say Millar would be NZs no 2 behind holwell at the moment. Is millar going to play in NZ do you know? I dont think he can play for the ABs anyway after playing for Nippon.

There it is. Sad or a blessing? Holwell NZs no.1 1st five.

      scouting reports:

Kelleher: Big, flashy muscles useless as he cries self to sleep at night with slow-mo apparition of George Gregan roaring in his face at ruck as NZ steamed rudderless full-fu__ing-tilt ahead towards ignominious World Cup exit. Highlanders replacement Marshall look-a-like has more nous.

      Miller: Presumably ineligible.

Holwell: Good grief, he runs like a small Lada. Hougaard and Larkham would be licking chops in unison.

Craig Newby: Nearly ready to supplant incumbent NZ skipper on blindside.
