  • One way ticket

I've just been looking for tickets to Japan. I just found out i'll have my work visa so I only need a one way ticket. But I found that I can actually get a round trip ticket for cheaper. So I guess I will just a get a round trip ticket and not use the second half of it. It seems pretty stupid to me but oh well. Also seems pretty hard that the airlines can claim that the price of gas affects them so much when they have retarded price schemes like this. Anybody know why this is actually the case?

Hi, yes it is retarded isn't it! It's basically because an airline based in a particular country (like the UK) will actually make more money if they can guarantee they will have passengers flying back home aswell, so they compensate by charging the same for a single one way ticket. It's unfair and crazy! However there are a few airlines that do have half-price one way tickets.
