I recently signed up for the Flets Premium 100mb service through NTT West, and OCN is my internet provider.
I thought the service would come with a wireless router being the 21st Century and everything, but I was mistaken. Instead NTT have provided me with a wired VDSL router, and something called a CTU (could someone explain to me what exactly the CTU is?). How would I go about attaching a wireless router to this setup? Would I just replace the VDSL with a wireless router? If so, do I have to have a specific type of router to work with this CTU thing?
Also, does anyone know if NTT provide wireless routers, or is it just the wired VDSLs? I'm currently renting the VDSL from NTT you see, and I'd like to know if I could just replace it with a wireless router.
Thanks for your help!
(also, why are there 3 different companies involved in my internet service? I understand an Internet Service Provider, and I understand what NTT is, I don't however understand why an Internet Service Carrier like Flets is needed, if someone could explain that to me it would be very much appreciated)
