If they are not illegal, then they shouldn't be able to be taken down. That's the whole point of having a line between legality and illegality.
And even if you want to decide that 'unwanted' sites should be taken down, who makes that decision? That was the problem with SOPA - there was no due process. Basically someone arbitrarily decides that they don't want the site, and it gets taken down.
'As usual' is the key word there. People who are trying to force the square internet age into the round hole of the past, are spending a colossal amount of effort and money on a futile venture. Things change, and some things that used to make people money stop making people money, and those people need to adapt. Ask any blacksmith if you disagree.
