Thread: Where can I buy corn tortillas?

  1. #1

Cool Where can I buy corn tortillas?

It's hard finding things for making Mexican food. Usually, I go to COSTCO, but I'm looking for corn tortillas and enchilada sauce to make enchiladas and other mexican foods in Osaka. Any store ideas?

Default Sorry - not much chance

Sorry, I have been looking for these for years here. The quick answer is that you can't get them as far as I know. It's either flour tortillas or American style corn "shells". (It might be tempting to see if there is a way to rehydrate those.)

What you can find though sometimes is the Masa Harina needed to make your own. I've seen it in foreign food stores in Tokyo.

That's a good idea, but I'll try FBC first. Cheers!

Seijo Ishii as all over the place, one in the Hankyu Railway Building in the B1 and the 3rd floor.

Pita Bread, ground beef, cumin, cheese, cabbage and onions.
Make some Pico de gallo with lime and you're all set.

Wink Thanks everyone. I found them at COSTCO

Thanks to those who responded to my message regarding corn tortillas. I found them at COSTCO. The flour ones are still there, too. COSTCO is looking better with better wine and beer selections.

    HAH!
Just found a place around my neck of the woods that sells EVERYTHING in the Mexicano food category!
    Even Tomatillios and Cilatro!

I'd like to tell you where it is,
    (and cheaper than stank-a$$ Costco)
    but seriously.

    SSSUFFAAAA!

You'll do us and them a favor.

Oh and on the subject of Mexican. Junkadelic in Nakameguro.
I've taken heaps of Mexican yearning yanks there and have yet to hear a complaint.
