Police officer pushes student off bike; lifts up her skirt

    Crime Mar. 27, 2012 - 06:30AM JST ( 68 )

    GUNMA ―
Police in Gunma said Monday that a police officer has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a university student.
According to investigators, the officer, who has been named as 24-year-old Hideki Tsukui, was stationed at Takasaki police station in Gunma Prefecture. On Sunday morning at about 3 a.m., Tsukui allegedly pushed the 21-year-old woman off her bicycle as she rode past and attempted to lift up her skirt, Fuji TV reported. The woman sustained minor injuries to her legs in the attack, police said.
During questioning, Tsukui was quoted as saying he wanted to touch a young woman’s body, Fuji reported.
A similar crime took place around an hour and 40 minutes later, roughly 400 meters away, in which a 19-year-old girl was pushed off her bike, police said. Tsukui is being questioned about his involvement in the second incident.
Its hard to hear the story of a love affair between two straight men

The cop should have pushed an older woman, say, in her 50s, off her bike and up skirted her.
It might not have looked so tight, but it wouldn't have been freshly used and he could have used his forensic training to see where it had been, how well it was worn, any embedded evidence etc. Also the victim probably wouldn't have complained.

OK, OK, I know that it was a totally inappropriate post, without any merit, but it amused me at the time. Strange how opiate pain killers can affect one's sense of the ridiculous.

    Indeed....

Actually – the girls were on their way to work – needing to get to the port for the return of the boats, so they could help sort the fish. Not that it matters…. (Please do not ask me to document this…)

You must have a real bad sense of direction there! Tried to go to Takesaki which is miles away from any saltwater and somehow you end up in Tsukiji. Good thing you weren't trying to go to Shanghai, you would have ended up in Sydney.

Trust me, you need the cops.
They're the only reason why certain a$$wipes in this world are still breathing.

There is that. But what are we supposed to do when the cops become a/sswipes as in this case? Should we as my father was wont to suggest in regards to a Deputy Chief of Police of a Canadian city who was caught break numerous statutes of the law, let the police take him out and quietly beat the miscreant to death? Or, should we let the public do the deed instead?

    Neither.
Let the rule of law preside.
The point being that the OP alludes to this being endemic or commonplace, which it isn't.

It's become much more common. On average there are 2 or 3 incidents involving police officers per month. Just last week an officer tried to sell a police uniform on an auction site and incidents where officers are apprehended for DUI violations is on the rise.

nope, don't like cops. i hate the cops in Japan. too many think the law doesn't apply to them, with the take of panties and the pushing of young girls off bikes. Harassing the foreign community as well.

sadly, i feel the rule of law will not preside. you have to grind the bastards down.

Yesterday I was over in Kasumigaseki and I stopped briefly to watch the antics of the local cops, an anti nuke protest group and a group of rightists who were baiting the group and the police. Just from watching you could see that the police weren't handling the situation and were in fact in cahoots with the little fukks with the black vans and loudspeakers.

It really p!sses me off to see how the normal police treat the guys in the black shirts and the mid to upper level chimpura and boryoku dan with kid gloves. But, lets face it there is nothing I can officially do and anything I did do would get me a severe attitude adjustment.

Hey - I wasn't one of the girls on the bikes... I can't help it if they were trying to get to a port that was some distance away.... Good exercise.

police corruption should be punishable by death

those unwilling to be held to the highest standards shouldn't become police officers, simple as that

it would be nice to the police held responsible for certain things, like that.
