My theory is "NO"
If two people meet and think that, if they both work at it, it will be good, then it will.
Your thoughts?

Opinions are like a$$holes...Everybody has one
@ Oxymoron : Is this what you are feeling right now?? Me, personally, i don't think i can. I want to build relationships with the one i love. Well, maybe for after 10 years of marriage, i wouldn't see the love i felt as the same way. But it definitely took a lot of effort, copromise, trust, time, passion, honesty, bravery, will to build something like marriage and make it last forever..
@ SometimesJustMe : is it probably his time of the month??![]()

Failing and giving up are two bitches of life, but they're not precisely related..
In that case not only do I understand, but I hope you bring some of those opiates with you when you move here :-p
My answer would be that "love" is an important stage of a lasting relationship, but it better be based on a sh!tload more than just love to last though. I've heard that scientifically speaking "love" is a feeling based on a hormone you produce that lasts at most, 3 years into a relationship.
I dunno. It's nice to be in love but you can have a good relationship without.
Love? Not so much. You will only hurt yourself.
What is love anyway? There is no concrete definition.
Relationships start in any number of ways ― through lust, friendship or by arrangement. If a couple gets on well enough the relationship may well endure and a bond form. So my answer is no, because love is nothing but a vague concept that means different things to different people.
I think he's talking of LOVE. The one the poets speak of, that many confuse with desire & is most often unrequited. Some call is puppy love, some true love, some shout it from the rooftops, some call it a form of madness. No, it's not necessary in starting a relationship, but is it important to have ever felt it? To know that you're capable of it? It can't hurt. Well, obviously it can & does - more than anything.
Who's that tripping over my bridge?
At first, no. Usually lust or some other factor gets your attention. Then through interaction it slowly develops into love. Some may not admit it, though they're thinking it. It's just hard to say I love you sometimes.
Be like "I.. cough* Lub.. you"
