CNN says North Korea is calm....
    http://edition.cnn.com/2012/04/12/wo...html?hpt=hp_t2

... but today at around 1830, in the sky above Kansai, central Honshu, three jets heading west at high elevation could be clearly seen. perhaps just on patrol....
... and thanks to you well_bicyclically, you helped me a lot.

Apparently the launch failed, nothing to worry about.

lol. America, South Korea, and Japan all have anti-missile technology. North Korea's missle "broke up" minutes after launch. Geee, I wonder what happened....

I am shocked. North Korean technology is usually so top of line and cutting edge.

I think there needs to be an immediate inquiry.
Someone at Estes corporation definitely should be held to account on this one.

And over here, near to where I am, jets took off. Hell, I think they used this as an excuse to send out the entire airforce! In all seriousness, this predictable display of Japanese panic cost us taxpayers millions of dollars for the past few weeks of preparations. How much of their budget did they use to prepare for a nonexistent threat?
    I really hate the NTA.

Non-existent threat? North Korea is definitely a threat to Japan, though obviously not a threat at this instance. But like with earthquakes, one needs to be prepared.

I would like to see more effort in trying to peacefully stabilize the area, though.
    Come as you are.

DISAGREE. I do not believe that N.K. is a threat to us. To South Korea, yes. They communicate in a bellicose way, but even if the crazy father had dared to try to strike Japan, the very next day, N.K. would no longer exist. If it really seems like N.K. does have sufficient nuclear technology to build and deliver a bomb, you can bet that it will be eliminated long before it reaches here (i.e., by a so-called "preemptive strike"). However, China and N.K. must present a current and constant threat to Japan, for this is the very raison d'etre of our military.

If your going to attack South Korea it would be stupid not to attack Japan at the same time to try and destroy it's military capabilities

I bet it was just a mechanical stuff-up but who knows..Maybe the C.I.A or the S.Koreans paid someone to screw up the launch.
Anyway...it will be interesting to see what kind of spin the N.Koreans try to put on it....

Perhaps the glorious leader's rocket was designed to explode to confuse the enemy....

It was actually a fireworks display put on to celebrate the consolidation of power by the little snot-nose, pig kid leader.
I think it's true and that's good enough for me.

Although CNN did a piece, backed by experts, saying that Japan's anti-missile weapons were just for show and to reassure the populace, I'm pretty sympathetic to the above quote.

NK stuff is getting old now. Someone please, just drop a few nukes on NK for a clean slate on that impoverished land. It's just another write-off from Earth so that the rest of the world can move on without that fat korean boy at the helm of NK. We all do write-off; that's part of the business as usual.
don't like my opinions? just chill and look at the pix on the left.

I think it's from the new book: "The Armchair Diplomat; Nuke 'em all and start a clean slate" Or:
"The lazy man's guide to eliminating stories I don't want to see on CNN."

That's how bad Western thought has become:
It is preferable to nuke an entire country because I'm sick of hearing about North Korea and I'm too lazy to press the channel button on the remote because I left it on the coffee table and i'd have to get out of my chair to do so and....I...ZZzzzzzzzzzzz..

I think it's more like, "I am offended at how bold these apparent deuschebags are to show up AGAIN on MY TV during Wolfe Blitzer?! Somebody drop some MOABs!!!!11"
