The only thing in Japan that is harder than being a foreigner in Japan, is being Japanese in Japan.
Meat in Japan is fattier than anything I've ever seen in the west coast of the USA. I suppose that you could get something fattier if you went to New Orleans and got a deep-fried hamburger.
This is about 75% fat:

Oh wait! This is pretty much a deep-fried burger on a smaller scale:

I am financially motivated to whore myself out.

And thank the Gods for that!
Americans have lost their minds in the last 30 years regarding what good "marbling" is.
All this nonsense about lean red meat and what not.
We have forgotten that steaks are best with fat rivers running through them!
The thing is, we're not supposed to eat steak everyday.
Or even every other day.
Or even once a week.
Well..perhaps I'm going too far..
But when we do eat steak, Jebus H. Cheestoast there's nothing like a Japanese cut of fine fat-laced beef.
and don't even get me started on the Bacon here..
Whattya mean? The Japanese love fat. The most coveted meat here is marbled with fat and some of the most common dishes are deep fried: tonkatsu and tempura. Lean meat isn't so popular for yakitori, etc. Traditional Japanese cooking also doesn't have a lot of raw or fresh vegetables, either, as that kebab seems to have.
Say it ain't so, Tommy!
Gawd, my happiest moment on this island of misery for the past 10 years or so was the American-style, crispy, stay-straight-in-your-hand variety of bacon that I succulently enjoyed at a pricey Tokyo Disneyland resort hotel's breakfast buffet....
I didn't miss any of the morning rides, attractions or shows as I chowed down... until they kicked me out!
Can't rain all the time.
There's doner kebab all over Tokyo and it's really pretty good even though they use beef instead of lamb and generally use cabbage instead of lettuce...
Still, does the job.
Man, now I want one...
Yeah, I've bought that a number of times. It's pretty good, I like it.
