Doesn't mean that he didn't do it - just that they couldn't prove that he did.

This is nothing new, Japan has always had a history of Kingmaker politicians like Kakuei Tanaka in the 60s, Shin Kanemaru in the 70s and 80s and now our boy Ozawa! Maybe in the future there will be a Gaijin name up there with them, like Smith or Jones!

Thanks interesting to read up on this. I wonder if there is a single person in the politics left who is clean.

I think the title of the thread is misleading. It would have been more accurate to say that he was found not guilty.

Clean politician -- Tony Bianchi in Inuyama.
    I hate the NTA.

    He WAS indicted.
The only thing in Japan that is harder than being a foreigner in Japan, is being Japanese in Japan.

They just figured out that the opposition was throwing heaps and heaps of mud and ____ on him hoping it would stick. (with lots of help from the media).
Now how will they divert the law away from themselves?
Who will be the next innocent scapegoat?

Have always liked Ozawa. Got fncked over for being a real man and not a puppet.

He used to go by Anthony when he was in Tokyo and I`ll bet you he is not as clean as he makes out to be!

Nope. That would be Governor Ishihara, the criminal who everybody votes for.
