Hello everyone!
I have just completed a double major in Japanese and Political Science at university, along with a 1-year Japanese Studies Scholarship (thank you Monbusho) and now I am considering the various paths open to me.
One of these paths is going on to grad school in Tokyo via Kenkyusei Scholarship. As I did quite well during my year on the Japanese Studies Scholarship and I recently passed JLPT N1, I feel confident that I am a competitive candidate for the position. The only problem (and it is a rather critical one) is that I am a bit at a loss as to what I should study.
The scholarship requires applicants to study something that relates to their previous major in university, but at this point I would rather learn some concrete skills that would allow me to work outside of academia. I have contemplated the idea of studying either communications or law, but I am curious if it is possible to branch out even more into something like medicine or industrial design. If anyone has any recommendations that could seemingly be related to Poli Sci or Japanese Studies, I would be very happy to hear them.
Thank you for your time!
