Default Any paid internships without a working holiday visa?

I've graduated recently and I've been struggling to find an english teaching job in Japan. I've been trying to look into internships to bolster my resume, particularly paid internships.
Any of the offers I've found have required a working holiday visa for which I'm ineligible. Is this just how it works?
If you know any that don't require such visas, that would absolutely be helpful but I don't expect it at this point.
I just really want to know if I'm wasting my time looking for any.

Many years ago I was an intern for a foreign company in Japan. The company sponsored me for a Temporary Visitor visa with work authorization valid for 90 days. (It was just stamped in my passport like a usual Temporary Visitor visa with a handwritten annotation. Required the whole COE process, etc.)

    Ably,

What are your qualifications? Do you speak Japanese at the business/fluent level? (JLPT N2 or N1?). If you did you could probably open bit more avenues.

If you are struggling to find an English teaching job (really?), then you're going to have one heck of a time finding another job to sponsor you over.

I have a B.A. in Philosophy and minor in Japanese Studies. I haven't taken the JLPT, but I did take two years of Japanese in College. That puts me at around Intermediate level, but my Japanese has deteriorated from lack of use in the last three years (though I've tried to keep up, so it's not horrible). I also have about a month of teaching English in China as a volunteer and I'm currently working on a 120-hour online TEFL course.

I'm not really trying for any kind of specialized job (especially with my major). In fact, I'm really looking at any kind of internship, including the ones about English teaching.

The main reason I'm having trouble looking for a English teaching job is because I missed the rush period of february to march recruitment. This is because I was only given my diploma in April. I've been sending in my resume and cover letters to any opening that sponsor visas for someone overseas. The only response I got was Gaba, but I didn't get through the second interview (understandably as I probably don't have enough experience for them). The job market is also really saturated this year, it seems.

I see paid internships that I could apply for but they all require working holiday visas. Any paid internship I've seen requires working holiday visas so I'm just wondering if that's just a rule, then I would know not to pursue that avenue any further.
