    Default Lamb shanks

    What are lamb shanks called in Japan? Was going to make braised lamb shanks this weekend but dont know what it is called in Japanese.

    I'm guessing 'ramu-shanku'

    They sell them at Nissin in the frozen section.
    They're really good and big.

    No, almost definitely not. Cutlets you can find but I have never seen shanks at a supermarket aside from Nissin and National Azabu. (National Azabu is closed for renovations so don't go looking there)

    You will need a while to let the shanks defrost. Like...hours...they are frozen solid.
