hey so iv decided to buy my first road bike this summer. iv always been a big cyclist and used to do a decent amount of motorcross but i have recently found myself really wanting to buy a road bike. It seems yahhoo auctions is packed full of old UJMs and for pretty great prices. im reading up on everything and have some friends that can help me out a bit but i figured id ask if anyone could recommend some good models that are known to hold up well? im looking for a retro style bike (late 80s early 90s) that doesn't look like a typical overly aero dynamic crotch rocket. i see a lot of Honda GB 250club bikes out on yahoo auctions but have also read some things saying they arent all that great. so if anyone can recommend some cool and resilient models for me id really appreciate it.
my brother is selling one of my bicycles back in the states so i will have about 1.5k-2.5k to spend on a bike with the money
also i wil say that i do KNOW of the motorcycle license process and all the bullshit that it entails.
