No evidence, but anyone who has lived in Japan long enough understands how the authorities in this country value face over truth.
Last night I came home and my wife told me about this. Her reaction was much the same as Andun's - "Yeah, right". Even Japanese people don't believe it.The only thing in Japan that is harder than being a foreigner in Japan, is being Japanese in Japan.
