    Default Is this fraud?

I'm wasting alot of time talking to chatting and mailing with penpals until recently someone offered me money for skype lessons. Well basically it's just chatting to get to know me.

Now I'm thinking of doing this on a larger scale. The thing is the women are not really interested in learning english and basically want to live abroad. I just play along and hint I'm single and want to marry a japanese women someday. (not a lie) I just teach them english in this session. (even the invoice says english lessons)

While it's probably unethical I thought why not monetize this on a larger scale? Seeing as I have alot of time on my hands.

Basically I want to know if this is fraud. Hosts are selling dreams for a living and it's legal so what about this? I never promise anyone to marry her but I compliment them and all that superficial stuff.

My idea was to target older lonely women (or maybe even men) and make a nice fortune of this. Afterall I need to pay my rent also right?

If both agree it's english lessons then there isn't a problem right? I just don't want to get in trouble and get a criminal record.

Perhaps. But if you can make money doing something you enjoy doing it's ok.

Host/Hostess is legal and basically it's selling dreams.

You pay the host for company and pay me for english lessons. It's the same basically. Aslong as both parties agree.

I don't think it's a fraud, but I do think it's very stupid. Especially since you seem to be netting only 902 yen for your efforts as per your other PayPal thread.

    Commercially,

I know. So far I have only 1 person. She asked me how much. I just said 1000yen. I was actually surprised she wanted me to teach her english over skype. She said cheap so I could've asked more. But it's always possible to increase my prize.

Still 902yen for 40min is a little more then minimum wage here in Holland. But I can always increase prizes.

To prove fraud, the prosecutors have to prove "intent". You've just given them that proof. When contemplating doing something that may be illegal, don't post it a forum.
